Creating a Form or a Quiz

We recommend that Microsoft Forms or Quizzes that will need to be managed by more than one person, or are of ongoing importance to a department, project, etc. be created as a group form.


Individuals may also create a form or quiz in Microsoft Forms, follow the steps in the appropriate article: 

Note: Individuals can create a Form or Quiz in their own account and then transfer ownership to a group later.

 

Sharing a Form to Collaborate 

Once your form is ready, you can share it with others: 

  1. Select the Share button
  2. Choose how you want to share your form (link, email, QR code, or embed)
  3. Set permissions to control who can respond (anyone with the link or only people in your organization)

Collecting Responses 

To collect and analyze responses: 

  1. Open the form 
  2. Select Collect Responses 
  3. Select your audience and distribution method 

You can view responses in real-time by clicking on the Responses tab. Additionally, you can analyze data using built-in charts or export to Excel for further analysis.

Customizing the Form 

Customization enhances the look and feel of your form: 

  1. Select the Theme button to choose a design
  2. Add images or videos to make your form more engaging
  3. Adjust settings like response limits and notifications.

Setting Up Branching 

Branching allows you to create a dynamic experience based on user responses: 

  1. In the form editor, select a question
  2. Select More options (three dots) and choose Add branching
  3. Set rules for which question to display based on previous answers.
