OneDrive is used to transfer files temporarily to others internally and externally securely. Files are automatically deleted based on a date that you set. The first step in sharing confidential files is to set up a Secure File Transfer folder in OneDrive.
Is OneDrive secure? Yes, OneDrive is safeguarded by Yale ITS and is approved for High-Risk data.
How many files can I share?
There is no limit to the number of files. You have 2TB of space in OneDrive.
How large can an individual file be? You can upload individual files up to 250GB in size.
What are the supported file types? OneDrive supports upload and sharing of all file types that are no more than 250GB.

How do I track the receipt (download) of a file I have shared? By default, OneDrive will notify you via email when a sharing link has been successfully used to access your shared content.
