Box Drive Overview
Box Drive is application that allows you to access all the files and folders you have access to in Box from your computer. It enables you to work with files in the Box cloud just as if they were on your desktop through Finder on OSX or Windows Explorer for PC. When working in files in Box Drive, changes you make automatically save back to Box. You can also right-click any file or folder to leverage collaborative Box features such as sharing, locking, and creating Box Notes.
Unlike Box Sync, all of your files are available from your desktop Box folder. The files and folders are not, by default, stored on your local machine, making it a secure solution and utilizing much less hard disk space. You must be connected to the Internet to use Box Drive, however, you can make files or folders available for offline use.
After installing Box Drive, you will have a folder named Box in your Windows Explorer or Mac Finder. When you open this folder, you will see the same contents you would see in All Files in your Yale Box account.
