Why use a distribution list?
Microsoft 365 Distribution Lists are ideal for emailing a group of people at Yale, where multiple individuals can have access to manage and use the list.
Features include:
- Allow for up to 100,000 members
- Multiple owners can modify membership and administration settings for the list
- The lists provide control over membership approval, delivery management, message approval, and configuration of a MailTip to be displayed when people send emails to the list.
How do I request a distribution list?
To request a distribution list, Submit Request and provide the following information in the 'Description of Request' field:
- Display Name
- Email Alias
- List of Managers for the access DL (NetID or email address)*
- List of Members for the access DL (NetID or email address)*
* Can be attached in an Excel spreadsheet or CSV file.
