If you are encountering issues with the OneDrive sync app properly syncing files you can use the following resources to help resolve the issue.
- Microsoft has a general article on fixing OneDrive sync problems, this is generally best to visit first as it provides a variety of states the sync client could be in, what they mean and how to resolve them.
- Resetting OneDrive can also sometimes resolve sync issues. It will reset all OneDrive settings and perform a full sync again.
- If you are seeing a sync error Error 0x80071129: The tag present in the reparse point buffer is invalid:
- Open a Command Prompt as administrator. From your Start menu, search and right-click Command Prompt and choose Run as administrator.
- In the command prompt, type chkdsk c: /r /f. Hit Enter. When the command prompt asks to answer Y/N, type Y and hit Enter.
- Restart your PC. It usually takes some time to scan your hard drive. Once ready, log back into your PC.
- Reset OneDrive
- Restart your PC and verify the problem was resolved.
