Teams is a cloud-based collaboration hub that offers:

• Chat and group conversations
• Audio and video conversations with other Team users
• File storage and management including the ability to integrate with any files you have stored in other platforms such as OneDrive, Box, or Google Drive.
• Each Team comes with 25TB of storage in its Files section.
• Real-time co-authoring of documents
• Public or private Team sites that can host up to 5000 members 
• App integration including Planner, Trello, Jira, GitHub, and many more
• Ability to invite collaborators outside of Yale University to your Teams

Teams is accessible from the Office 365 portal; sign in with your Yale email address and password. 
The desktop application is installed with the Office 365 desktop apps.
A mobile app is available from the App Store on iOS or Google Play Store on Android.
