Having a problem with the Teams app? Clearing the Teams app cache may help fix them.
Windows
- Fully close Microsoft Teams and Outlook.
- Right click the Teams icon in your icon tray, then select Quit.
- In Outlook, select the File menu and choose Exit.
- Hold Windows key and press R to open the Run box, then copy and paste the following into the Open field, and click OK: C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Packages\MSTeams_8wekyb3d8bbwe
- Select all folders in the list, then right click and select Delete.
- You can now relaunch Microsoft Teams.
macOS
- Fully close Microsoft Teams.
- Right click the Microsoft Teams icon in your dock, then click Quit.
- Open Finder, then click Go and select Go to Folder…
- Copy and paste the following into the Go to Folder box, then click Go: ~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft
- Right click the Teams folder, then click Move to Trash.
- Using Spotlight Search (accessed by clicking the magnifying glass on the macOS menu bar), enter the word Keychain and select Keychain Access.
- Within Keychain, search for Microsoft Teams to find the Microsoft Teams Identities Cache entry. Right click this item and select the delete option, then close the Keychain Access app.
- You can now relaunch Microsoft Teams.
