Overview

Eduroam is an international roaming service that allows participating higher education institutions to access wireless networks at other participating institutions. Users connect with their home university credentials.

 

Connect to Eduroam

1. Locate Eduroam within your list of available wireless networks
2. Sign in using your Yale NetID and NetID Password. The logon format is username@home university. If you are visiting Yale, sign in using credentials from your home university.
   • Example for Yale:
     
     • Username: netid@yale.edu
     • Password: your Yale NetID password

Participating Institutions

Visit the Eduroam web site to search for participating institutions. 

 

Trouble Connecting to Eduroam

• What should I do if I do not see Eduroam as an available wireless network?
  1. Confirm the university you are currently located at participates in Eduroam
  2. Contact the Help Desk of the host institution you are at to make sure the Eduroam network there is working correctly
  3. If you have not yet connected to the Yale wireless network with your device, visit the Yale Software Library and install the SecureW2 supplicant. Then, connect to Eduroam.
