Waiting Room is an option for Zoom meetings you host. When Waiting Room is enabled for a meeting, the waiting room holds participants until you allow them into your meeting room.
- If you enable Waiting Room for a meeting, you cannot enable Join Before Host for that same meeting.
- While in the waiting room, participants will see a message, "Please wait, the meeting host will let you in soon."
- From the waiting room, your participants can test their speakers and microphones, but they cannot see or interact with each other.
- As host you control who moves from the waiting room to your meeting and when. You can allow everyone in at once (for a regular meeting or synchronous class session), or you can pull into your meeting just one or more select individuals (for office hours or advising). You can even push participants from your meeting back into the waiting room.
