What types of calendars are available?
Shared calendars in Office 356 come in four varieties: Room reservation, event, vacation, and equipment
How to request a shared calendar
To request a shared calendar, please submit the Resource Calendar Request Form (netID login/DUO required).
The request form will prompt for the required information below.
Account Information
- Responsible Person (NetID):
- Is it a Room, Event, Vacation, or Equipment Resource Calendar (Pick only one):
- Display Name (if there are already similar resources, i.e. rooms in a building, the display name should match the format of those):
- If it's a Room, what is the capacity or people it can hold?
- If it's a Room with a phone (conference or regular); what is the phone number?
Policy and Configuration Information
1. Who can invite the resource? (Select A or B)
- Anyone in the Global Address List
- Secure List
- Manager(s) of the list (NetIDs):
- Members that can invite the resource (NetIDs):
2. Will Invites be managed by a Delegate? (Select A. No or B. Yes)
- No, the list will self manage accepting invites on a first come first serve basis.
- Yes, a Delegate will receive approval notifications for new incoming requests or conflicts only (pick only one):
3. Will there be a list of users with Read Only (Reviewer) access? (Select A. No or B. Yes)
- No. Visibility to the calendar will be limited to Free/Busy information when viewing through the Scheduling Assistant in OWA or Outlook.
- Yes. Enables members to view full details of meetings and to open the calendar for viewing within Outlook on PC and Mac.
- If the resource is secured by a list in (1B), can the same list be used (Select Yes or No)
