Secure and private Zoom meetings

In response to security and privacy concerns with the Zoom application, Yale IT has taken action to automatically secure sessions. Take advantage of the recommended actions and Zoom features in order to fully ensure your Zoom meeting is secure and private.

Important Points:

In the moment actions for managing abusive or uninvited participants:

  • Report the participant's abusive or inappropriate behavior to Zoom while the meeting is still ongoing, if possible.
  • Remove the participant from your meeting.
  • Report the participant's abusive behavior to the Yale Police Department. The police can request information directly from Zoom at lawenforcement@zoom.us.
