Overview
ITS-managed computers have access to app-store-like functionality, allowing users to self-install certain applications without requiring administrative rights on their computers.
When to Use
- You need to install a Yale-approved/provided software on a Yale-managed Mac or Windows computer
- You do not currently have administrator access on your Yale computer
Instructions
- Open the Company Portal application.
- Select "Sign in."
- Select the "Apps" button at the top of the navigation pane.
- Select the "All Apps" button on the top left side of the navigation pane.
- You will see an interface like the following:

- The Company Portal window will list the applications that are available for your computer. Some of the applications will have important information in their "Show details" section. Please review the application details before installing.
- To install an application, select the desired application, then select the "Install" button under its name. If a particular application was already installed using the Company Portal application, there will instead be a "Re-install" button.
